UKFT Q1 Report
From the launch of the online Production Sewing Machinist Programme, the UKFT Rise x TikTok competition, to promoting the industry at 5 international trade shows and securing the Energy Bills Relief Scheme for the sector, it has been an extremely positive start of the year for UKFT.

Summary
MEMBERSHIP: As membership is the foundation of UKFT, we continue to deliver tailored support to our members spanning specialist knowledge, leadership around key industry challenges and new opportunities for growth.
EMPLOYMENT SUPPORT: The UKFT membership includes free support from our employment advisor Anne Carvell. Queries answered during Q1 2023 include issues around time of redundancy and notice payment, and reduction of status following reorganisation.
GOVERNMENT RELATIONS: UKFT has strengthened its relationships with key government departments such as the Department for Business and Trade, to ensure that the industry’s priorities are high on the political agenda.
SUSTAINABILITY, INNOVATIONS AND R&D: Driving positive change is a priority for our organisation, which is why we continue to develop new resources to help businesses meet their voluntary and mandatory sustainability standards.
INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS: Through our Autumn/Winter Global Brands campaign, supported by the Department for Business and Trade, UKFT worked with over 350 British businesses at key trade shows from Paris Fashion Week to Pitti Uomo.
SKILLS AND TRAINING: From the launch of UKFT’s online Production Sewing Machinist Programme to our Internship Bursary Schemes, UKFT continues to support skills development within our sector.
