Future Vintage is a Scottish knitwear brand specialising in heirloom-quality garments and homeware. Scroll down to read more about its three new knitwear shapes.West Lothian based brand, Future Vintage, creates garments from undyed Shetland wool sourced from its own flock of sheep. Each piece is handcrafted by founder Lindsay Girvan in a 200-year-old cottage atelier at Bonnytoun Farm, using traditional machinery. Each piece begins with a drawing, and overtime the shapes are tested, redrawn and redefined until they find their form in wool. The DEE collection is the result of that process.Named after the River Dee, and the group of sheep whose fleece helped shape this collection, the DEE cardigan, jacket and coat are the Future Vintage new outerwear staples. What ties them together is a distinctive deep-set barrel sleeve: softly rounded and architectural, giving each piece structure without stiffness. Each shape offers a different kind of wear - the cardigan brings gentle structure, the jacket is easy but purposeful, and the coat is made to be thrown on and lived in. Designed for layering, each one moves between seasons with ease.Spun from the fleece of Lindsay's own flock, they're offered in its core Vintage 24/25 palette: Shetland black, natural white, katmoget grey, and deep moorit.Made slowly using traditional techniques, the DEE is Future Vintage through and through - rooted in place, designed to last, and quietly striking.Find the shape that fits your rhythm - and wear it for years to come.A summer's evening dedicated to wool, leather and slow making this AugustLindsay Girvan is hosting an event at its farm on Thursday 14 August 2025 dedicated towool, leather and slow making. When: Thursday 14 August 2025 from 6-9pmWhere: Bonnytoun Farm, LinlithgowCost: £195 - includes all materials, food and drinksAbout: Join Lindsay Girvan for a hands-on creative workshop inside the 200-year-old stone cottage atelier of Future Vintage.
