UKFT has published a new guide to support members in ensuring product labelling and marketing language are clear, accurate and compliant with current regulations that include misleading labelling requirements.

The UKFT Guide to Misleading Labelling outlines key legal requirements for the UK, EU and US (although misleading labelling requirements within regulation are not limited to these regions/countries) and practical considerations when describing products, particularly in relation to sustainability claims, fibre composition and marketing terms. It is intended to help businesses avoid unintentional misrepresentation and ensure consumers are not mislead by labelling or marketing.

This UKFT guide is to support with compliance across your business and wider team. UKFT encourages members to continue to reach out with queries on specific product labelling, as this guide is not extensive, but is a general overview.
