Member Spotlight: MAES London doubles its space in a move to Tottenham Hale
02/03/2021
Luxury garment manufacturer, MAES London, has launched its new studio at Purpose, The Archives, Tottenham. The studio is 4,000 sq ft within a six-storey 100,000 sq ft repurposed ex-archive, now a fully refurbished creative hub.
Having successfully grown their business, MAES London has doubled the size of their atelier, adding an extra 2,000 sq ft across one purpose-built room for nearly 20 members of staff. The company’s specialist services include garment sampling and small production runs.
Diana Kakkar, founder of MAES London, said: “We started with a simple vision: to make manufacturing more accessible to fashion designers. We want to make it easy for designers to work with us. Today I am immensely proud of my team who are working towards this vision at every level.
“Looking back over the last three years since we started MAES London and we have grown from a team of two to 20. We have moved twice, both times doubling in size, and managed to stay upbeat throughout a global pandemic. There have been many more ups than downs and seeing the garments we produce for designers on the runway and in luxury magazines makes it all worthwhile. We are proud to support the creative energy in the global fashion industry, helping designers make fashion beautiful.”
