The glossary provides a common reference framework for traceability terminology across the global apparel, footwear and accessories supply chain. It is intended to improve clarity and consistency in the definition and use of key traceability terms, including in the context of emerging regulatory requirements
Developed by the AAFA's Traceability Working Group and Solutions Provider Advisory Group, the glossary reflects input from across the supply chain, including materials providers, manufacturers, retailers and traceability solution providers, and engagement with wider industry groups including UKFT.
The glossary is open source and will be updated annually to reflect new and evolving traceabiloity terminology and regulatory developments.
AAFA's Traceability Working Group will focus on developing a standardised data and document set for traceability, designed to support interoperability across systems and improve data exchange across global supply chains.
