UKFT's Sustainability Clinics are focused one-to-one support sessions designed to help members navigate sustainability challenges with practical, commercially realistic guidance.
As part of UKFT membership, members have access to a complimentary 60-minute Sustainability Clinic. These tailored sessions can be delivered as a single one-hour meeting or split into an initial consultation and follow-up session. These sessions are designed to provide general advice, answer key sustainability questions, signpost relevant resources and identify where further support may be beneficial.
The clinics are also a valuable opportunity for businesses to use the UKFT Sustainability team as a sounding board, whether you are trying to sense check an approach, respond to customer requirements, understand sustainability expectations or simply work out where to begin. The aim is to help businesses to get started on the right path with confidence, without adding unnecessary complexity.
Whether businesses are at the very beginning of their sustainability journey or looking to strengthen existing activity, the clinics provide practical support across a broad range of sustainability and innovation topics.
What the clinics can support with
Support is tailored to each business, but common areas include:
- Sustainabilty strategy and roadmap development
- Green claims and sustainability communication
- Standards and certification guidance
- Responsible sourcing and ethical trade
- Supply chain due diligence and traceability
- Climate, carbon and nature-related topics
- Circularity and innovation opportunities
- Signposting to tools, frameworks and external resources
The clinics also provide an opportunity to learn more about the wider sustainability services, projects, webinars and member support available through UKFT.

Additional support and consultancy
Where businesses require more in-depth support beyond the initial clinic session, such as sustainability strategy development, policy reviews, training workshops. supply chain mapping, sustainability communications audits or ongoing sustainability support, this can also be provided separately on a consultancy basis.
UKFT members receive a 15% discounted consultancy rate for extended sustainability support services following a Sustainability Clinic session.
