2026 marks Derek Rose's centenary — one hundred years since Jack Lewis Rose founded the business in 1926. Three generations later, the brand remains privately owned and independently run, with the same obsession with fabric, fit and craftsmanship that built its reputation.
The anniversary arrives at a pivotal moment. Derek Rose is building dedicated marketing and creative teams for the first time, refreshing its creative strategy and launching a new, editorial-led website in 2026 — designed to be discovered rather than simply shopped.

Sleepwear built the brand, but ready-to-wear and leisure are now driving its growth, with category sales up 25% year-on-year as the brand moves confidently beyond the bedroom. Womenswear is also expanding to meet demand that was already there: close to half of Derek Rose's direct-to-consumer traffic is female.
On the wholesale side, Derek Rose continues to strengthen relationships with some of the world's most prestigious department stores. The brand has supplied Harrods for a significant part of its 175-year history and now holds the number one position in its Men's Essentials room, with a presence spanning three floors. At Selfridges, Derek Rose accounts for a very large share of the men's bodywear turnover. Internationally, the brand is established in leading stores from Isetan in Tokyo to Lodenfrey in Munich.

Today, Derek Rose trades from five stores across three countries — Knightsbridge, Marylebone and Notting Hill in London, plus Dubai Mall and Riyadh. The US, already the brand's single largest online market, it could be the next frontier for physical growth.
It's an exciting chapter for a brand built on craft — and one Derek Rose is glad to be sharing with the UKFT community.

Here is what Derek Rose said about joining UKFT membership:
"We joined UKFT for a stronger voice and practical support as global commerce becomes harder to predict — trade, tariffs and shifting consumer markets among them — and to stay connected with a community of British brands navigating the same landscape."
