Cockpit is now inviting applications for six Awards and Bursaries this autumn. The deadline for applications is Sunday 27 September 2026 at midnight.
Cockpit Studios is an award-winning social enterprise, home to over 175 independent creative businesses in London.
This round's Awards & Bursaries include:
- Glass Sellers' Award – Glass
- ALMAW Award – Wood & Textiles
- Broderers' Award – Embroidery
- Turners' Award – Wood Turning
- Arts Society GLA Award – Traditional and heritage craft skills
- Basketmakers' Award – Basketmaking
Each Award or Bursary offers subsidised studio space at Cockpit’s Bloomsbury or Deptford sites (subject to availability), access to specialist equipment (depending on the Award), tailored business support, and membership of Cockpit’s vibrant maker community, with the chance to take part in Cockpit Open Studios twice a year.
