Recently, FEL was award the King’s Award for Enterprise in the Sustainability sector and all these best practices in fashion are embedded into the delivery of their education provision. With over 16 years of running apprenticeships, FEL is proud to be working with a range of blue chip companies as well as SME and micro businesses from campuses in Islington, Haringey and Leicester.
With a rise in demand for apprenticeships within the fashion sector, FEL specialises in providing in-depth technical training for both the Level 2 Sewing machinist as well as the Level 4 Product Technologist standard.
CEO Jenny Holloway commented; “In the last six months we have seen a rise in demand for machinists in both sample making and bulk production and we really believe that the Level 2 standard is a great fit for industry today. We are proud of our achievements in the skills provision for the industry and we are use the backdrop of our ethical factory based in Haringey as a solid learning ground for apprentices. We are particularly proud of our contract with Next whereby their six apprentices all gained a distinction at level 4 Standard. We are absolutely thrilled for the apprentices and wish them great success in the future.”
Operating on a roll on roll off model, FEL is now centring on the Level 2 Sewing Machinist Standard and would be delighted to support any employer, new business start-up or micro business that is looking to employ machinists.
