Made Smarter: Funding and support for London-based fashion, textiles and materials manufacturers

09/10/2025

The Made Smarter Adoption programme is helping London manufacturers accelerate their digital adoption, improve productivity and strengthen sustainability. If your business produces a physical product within the M25, you may be eligible for free, government-funded support including grants, training and fully paid interns, designed to help you make the most of digital technology.

What’s available

  • Eligible micro and SME businesses (under £38m turnover and fewer than 250 employees) can benefit from:
  • A tailored Digital Adoption Roadmap to identify opportunities for digital growth
  • Grant funding of up to £20,000 for hardware, software or specialist support (matched at 50%)
  • Leadership and workforce development training with leading London universities
  • Fully paid interns to support digital projects, funded through the programme

The programme is completely free to eligible businesses, funded by the government and delivered in London by London & Partners on behalf of the Greater London Authority.

Applications are now open for:

  • Leadership and management course with Brunel University London (starting November 2025)
  • Workforce development course with King’s College London (starting November 2025)
  • 12-week, fully funded internships with Brunel University London (open now)
  • Grant funding (applications opened 1 October 2025)

London & Partners is keen to see more fashion, textiles and materials companies take advantage of this support. If you’re interested, or know a business that could benefit, please share this update or get in touch to learn more.
