Kynoch 1788: Created in Scotland, crafted by generations
Kynoch’s new collection for AW 21/22 takes inspiration from the breathtaking landscape surrounding Langholm, the home of Kynoch, which nestles in the Scottish Borders. This season, the brand has developed its Heritage twist suiting colour palette – no mean feat given the original colours were inspired by the artists the Scottish Colourists. Kynoch takes a painterly approach when designing with these multi coloured twist yarns to create depth and character in classic designs.
The coating collection feels even more important now, offering comfort, warmth and contemporary styling, from fully splitable double cloths with contrasting designs and plains, to natural finishes which blur classic designs in misty shades making them new and welcoming.
The Jacketing collection of sporty checks are illuminated with decorations of plum, poppy, gorse and sky blue. While soft, milled and washed finishes give a feeling of warmth and tenderness.
Alongside stock-supported bunches of Heritage Twist Suiting and the Glenesk Luxurious Lambswool and Cashmere jacketing, Kynoch has introduced a stock-supported coating collection Snowdonia. This is a celebration of authentic coating cloth qualities designed to provide the wearer with a true garment of distinction, possibly for generations.
With a heritage stretching back to 1778, founded by George Kynoch the name has been synonymous with fine weaving. Building layers of excellence, at every stage, into the cloth so that it performs to the demands and comforts of contemporary living. Today this is only possible with a highly skilled and dedicated team using the most modern machinery and technology.
Kynoch works in partnership with brands and designers to create beautiful cloth which reflects the spirit of the collection. The team can discuss developments in person or on Zoom and are always more than happy to answer questions or discuss what is possible.
“It is our pleasure to create cloth which is worn all over the world, whether on international catwalks or a Sunday afternoon stroll with the family.”
Kynoch is now a trading division of Luxury Fabrics Ltd and a member of the SIL Holdings Ltd group of companies.
