Education Partner spotlight: Fashion Toolbox offers CLO3D training, 3D product development and digital pattern-making
20/10/2025
UKFT Education Partner Fashion Toolbox was founded by digital fashion specialist Laura Fish to close the skills gap between fashion education and industry. Providing CLO3D training, 3D product development, and digital pattern-making, Fashion Toolbox empowers designers and brands to adopt digital workflows that enhance creativity, sustainability and efficiency in modern fashion design.

Over the past year, Fashion Toolbox has continued to grow as a trusted partner for fashion brands, educators and professionals adopting 3D digital workflows. Led by CLO3D Technical Designer and Educator Laura Fish, the business focuses on helping teams and individuals integrate digital tools seamlessly into their creative and technical processes.

A recent highlight includes the bespoke 11-week CLO3D training programme for J.Crew, delivered by InHouse, where Laura was responsible for designing the curriculum and leading the full training programme. The course was structured around J.Crew’s production calendar to provide tailored learning and hands-on practice, demonstrating how adaptable and collaborative digital training can be when aligned with real-world industry needs.

This success has informed the expansion of Fashion Toolbox’s new role-specific CLO3D pathways for fashion designers, technical designers, and pattern makers, moving away from the traditional “beginner-to-advanced” approach in favour of targeted learning that mirrors real industry challenges. Complementing these are a series of Mini Masterclasses in knitwear, denim, lingerie and avatar creation, offering focused training on specialist topics that continue to grow in demand.
Laura also collaborates with education partners, including Nottingham Trent University and CAD for Fashion, to embed 3D digital design skills into teaching frameworks and professional courses. Her learner-centred approach combines technical precision with creative exploration, helping students and professionals alike to understand not just how to use 3D tools, but how to apply them meaningfully within fashion’s evolving landscape.

“My passion is helping designers leap the digital divide, empowering them to see 3D not as a replacement for creativity, but as an extension of it,” says Laura.
As Fashion Toolbox looks to the future, Laura’s mission remains focused on collaboration, innovation, and accessibility, championing a digitally fluent and sustainable fashion industry ready to meet the challenges of tomorrow.
