Member spotlight: Scruffs Workwear expands technical product range and international reach

UKFT member, Scruffs Workwear, is one of the UK’s leading workwear and safety footwear brands, established in 2003. The company designs practical, hard-wearing workwear and safety footwear for tradespeople, combining comfort, durability and performance with innovative materials and technologies. Scruffs offers a wide range of workwear, safety footwear and accessories across the UK and international markets.

Scruffs is continuing to develop its product range, with a growing focus on more technical workwear and safety footwear, while also expanding into new sectors and international markets.

New products include the Scruffs Vault Safety Boot, the brand’s first boot to feature its Twist-and-Lock lacing system, combining lightweight construction, waterproof protection and performance-focused features. The new Tech 3-in-1 Jacket combines a waterproof Nylon Ripstop outer shell, insulated inner layer and 4-way stretch sleeves.

Established Scruffs styles are also being updated with more technical fabrics, construction methods and features, broadening the range and offering different levels of technical performance and protection.

As the range develops, Scruffs is also expanding into a wider range of industries and working environments. While tradespeople remain at the heart of the brand, the range is being developed for sectors including agriculture and farming, oil and gas, and other specialist industries, with products designed around the requirements of different types of work and the relevant safety standards.

Alongside product development, Scruffs is working to increase its presence across international markets and develop new distribution opportunities outside the UK.

Here is what Scruffs Workwear  said about joining UKFT membership:

"Scruffs joined UKFT to support our continued growth and development as a brand, giving us access to recognised industry standards, guidance and best practice. As we expand across the UK and international markets, membership will strengthen our industry knowledge and commercial credibility, while helping us maintain consistency across product labelling and across different markets."
