Monocle X Moon Limited Edition Collaboration

London – 24th September 2026: British textile house Abraham Moon & Sons (MOON) has partnered with global media, design and lifestyle brand Monocle on a co-branded scarf collection for autumn/winter 2026.

UKFT member MOON (Abraham Moon & Sons) is one of Europe’s leading mills specialising in woollen textiles, operating from their vertical mill in Yorkshire since 1837. Family-owned for six generations, they produce cloth using natural fibres, all made under one roof and supported by trusted partnerships. With a transparent, long-term approach to sustainability, they supply fashion and interiors brands worldwide through stock collections and bespoke developments - backed by generations of textile expertise.

‍

Monocle is an independent voice on global affairs, business, design, culture and much more. Founded in 2007, Monocle goes beyond the headlines to deliver sharp analysis, inspiring ideas and deep reporting – and all with an ambitious global perspective.

‍

‍

Blending Monocle's distinctive design language with MOON's textile expertise and rich British heritage, the collaboration came to be through a shared passion for craft - with both brands having carved a distinctive space in the market in championing the traditions of their industry, while simultaneously producing for the needs of sartorially discerning, contemporary audiences.

‍

‍

Designed by Monocle using MOON's Yorkshire-made luxurious 90% merino wool and 10% cashmere cloth, the new scarf launches in three colourways, finished with a specially designed Monocle x MOON label. The scarves retail at £95 and will be available from September 24th online as well as in Monocle shops across the globe, including in London, Paris, Zürich, Merano, St. Moritz, Toronto, Tokyo and Hong Kong.

‍

‍

The range of scarves are made from MOON fabrics, each created using time honoured techniques in its Guiseley mill - one of the few vertical woollen mills in Europe that still has the rare ability to carry out every stage of production under one roof, from dyeing and blending raw wool fibres through to spinning, weaving and finishing. The inherent durability and longevity of the wool fibres chosen for this collaboration also reflects both brands’ focus on creating high-quality pieces intended to be enjoyed well beyond a single season. The collaboration also includes a padded duffle coat crafted in a MOON herringbone cloth, due to launch in October.

‍

‍

Monocle joins a curated list of international brands that turn to MOON for its unparalleled textiles, with its products also used by Christian Dior, Saint Laurent, Hugo Boss, Barbour, Aimé Leon Dore and Sunspel.

‍

‍

The Monocle collaboration comes at a key time for the brand, as MOON prepares to celebrate its 190th anniversary in 2027, following a year that has already brought recognition and expansion for the Yorkshire-based manufacturer. In early 2026, MOON welcomed HRH The Princess Royal, President of the UK Fashion and Textiles Association, to its West Yorkshire mill, as well as establishing its first permanent London presence at Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour. As it approaches this landmark 190 years celebration, the development of strong partnerships such as Monocle x MOON reflect how the brand continues to build on its heritage, while looking towards the future.
