UKFT has updated its guide on the EU’s removal of the de minimis exemption to reflect the latest developments, including the introduction of new Product Identifier (PID) requirements for low-value consignments.
The EU’s de minimis changes will have a significant impact on businesses shipping goods directly to EU consumers, with the temporary customs duty arrangements applying from 1 July 2026 and further customs data requirements being introduced later in 2026.
The updated guide now includes further information on the new PID requirements, including what businesses need to know and how they should prepare ahead of implementation.
