What this looks like in practice
At ITMA 2023, UK-based WEFFAN exhibited as part of the CEMATEX Start-Up Grant. Shortly after, its technology was used in a 3D woven garment by Balenciaga.
That shift, from early-stage innovation to application inside a global brand, came from being in the right place, in front of the right decision-makers.
Other start-ups saw similar momentum:
- TreeToTextile moved further into commercialisation with strong industry backing
- Noosa increased production and expanded into new applications
Why UK start-ups should pay attention
The UK has strong research and early-stage innovation, but many founders hit the same barrier: how to move from development into production and adoption.
Start-Up Valley aims to solve that by giving you:
- Direct access to global manufacturers and supply chain partners
- A chance to demonstrate your product in a real industry setting
- Conversations with brands actively looking for new solutions
- Visibility that carries beyond the event
