Production Sewing Machinist Programme

A training programme designed to support the growing demand for industrial sewing skills
What is the Production Sewing Machinist Programme?

The UKFT Production Sewing Machinist (PSM) Programme has been updated since the first launch in 2024, and now includes a separate health, safety and sustainability course, an industrial cover stitch machine option, introduction to the Sewing Machinist Apprenticeship and fashion and textiles qualifications.

This structured syllabus is designed to deliver the skills and understanding required by industrial sewers, from safe and sustainable working practices to quality and speed. The programme has proven to develop the confidence, competence and capacity of new recruits, enabling them to join a production team with the right foundation skills, and quickly achieve quality and quantity targets.

The eight courses within the programme can be undertaken separately or collectively, with UKFT certification awarded following successful completion of assessments.

Please note; The courses are currently available offline only.
