Discover how water stewardship can help fashion businesses protect nature, strengthen supply chains and build long-term resilience.
Healthy rivers, wetlands and freshwater ecosystems are fundamental to the fashion and textile industry, yet increasing water stress, pollution and climate change are placing these resources under growing pressure. As businesses begin to develop their nature strategies, water stewardship is becoming an essential part of protecting biodiversity, strengthening supply chain resilience and meeting growing stakeholder expectations.
Join the Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS) to explore how fashion and textile businesses can move beyond water efficiency and adopt a more holistic approach to managing water across global supply chains.
This practical session will introduce the principles of water stewardship and demonstrate how the AWS Standard System is helping businesses identify water-related risks, engage suppliers and implement best practice to support both nature and business resilience.
The webinar will cover:
- An introduction to water stewardship and why it matters for the fashion and textile sector.
- The principles and structure of the AWS Standard System.
- How the AWS Standard helps businesses identify, manage and reduce water-related risks.
- Practical examples of how textile companies are implementing water stewardship across global supply chains.
- Key considerations for businesses beginning their water stewardship journey.
Whether you're just beginning your nature journey or looking to strengthen your existing approach, this session will provide practical guidance to help translate water stewardship into meaningful action.
