UKFT and its partner Fox Williams the business law firm are delighted to invite you to an in-person seminar highlighting key issues fashion businesses need to know about in todays market. The seminar will cover the following areas: Pop-ups what are the issues you need to know about? Legal director Rebecca Facey explains the pros and cons of pop-ups for fashion brands shares our top tips for negotiating the terms of your agreement and tells you what you need to consider when the agreement ends. Rebecca will also look briefly at some of the implications for UK brands taking part in pop up activity outside of the UK. Directors responsibilities and liabilities what to do when your company is facing bankruptcy in an unpredictable financial climate. As a director can you be pursued and sued? Senior associate Sarah Carlton outlines the legal responsibilities company directors have and potential personal liabilities that exist when a company is heading towards insolvency. Getting paid what do brands and suppliers need to know when it comes to getting paid. Partner Stephen Sidkin highlights the issues which are key given todays financial climate. The discussions will be led and chaired by Fox Williams partner Stephen Sidkin and UKFTs Paul Alger. After the formal presentations there will be an opportunity to ask questions of the speakers and then to network over refreshments. UKFT members can attend the event for free.
