Session 4 | Act - From Assessment to Action

Date:
5 May 2027
Time:
12 PM - 4:30 PM
Location:
London

Turning Nature Insights into Implementation. Delivered by Biodiversify

‍

The final session will bring the learning from across the programme together and focus on the crucial next question: once you understand your relationship with nature and have begun identifying where your priority risks, dependencies and impacts may sit, what do you do about it?

‍

This practical workshop will support businesses in moving beyond assessment and measurement towards implementation. The session will explore how findings and insights generated through nature assessments, data and tools can be translated into prioritised business actions, including developing SMART targets and implementation roadmaps, embedding nature into governance and decision-making, and identifying realistic opportunities for action.

‍

Practical fashion industry examples and case studies will be used to explore how nature considerations can begin to move from sustainability teams into wider business strategy and decision-making. The in-person format will also provide greater opportunity for collaborative working, peer discussion and practical application of the learning developed throughout the Working Group.

‍

Biodiversify

Biodiversify is a nature-focused consultancy that works with businesses to understand their relationship with nature and translate this understanding into practical strategies and action. Its work includes nature and biodiversity assessment, strategy development, target setting and supporting organisations to integrate nature into business decision-making.

‍

Within the Working Group, Biodiversify will lead the final implementation-focused workshop, supporting members to move from nature-related metrics and data into practical application and insight, and ultimately into action. This will include exploring how tools can be used to investigate nature-related dependencies, impacts and risks, before helping businesses translate those insights into prioritisation, target setting and practical implementation.

‍

OUR PROGRAMME: ASSES → MEASURE → ACT

The Nature Working Group (NWG) will initially run across four dedicated sessions, taking members through a practical progression from understanding and assessment, through two stages of measurement, to practical action: To support members on this journey, UKFT has established the UKFT Nature Working Group, in partnership with the Green Finance Institute (GFI) and Biodiversify.

‍

01 — ASSESS: Understand your relationship with nature

Use the TNFD LEAP approach to identify where your business and value chain interact with nature and begin assessing dependencies, impacts, risks and opportunities.

‍

02 — MEASURE: Understand what to measure

Part 1 – Metrics & Data

Explore TNFD's metrics architecture, what businesses are currently measuring and how existing sustainability and supply-chain data can provide a realistic starting point for nature-related measurement.

‍

03 — MEASURE: Put data and tools into practice

Part 2 – Tools & Application

Build on the foundations established in previous sessions by exploring practical, freely available tools that can help businesses investigate nature-related risks, dependencies and impacts across sourcing locations, materials and supply chains, and turn data into useful insights for assessment and decision-making.

‍

04 — ACT: Turn insight into implementation

Bring together the learning from across the programme and translate assessment, data and insights into prioritised actions, targets, governance and a practical nature roadmap.

‍

This registration is for members who have enrolled in the Nature Working Group. If you have not yet enrolled but would like to participate, please contact sustainability@ukft.org.

‍

As this is an interactive working group delivered across four sessions, recordings will only be shared with enrolled participants.
