08/06/2021
Environmental concerns are now central to new textile care habits, according to a GINETEX survey of consumers in the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Sweden, the Czech Republic and Spain.
GINETEX, the International Association for Textile Care Labelling, presents the results of its third European barometer for 2021, “Europeans and the textile care label” conducted with IPSOS.
The Barometer takes a closer look on what matters most to consumers when taking care of their textiles. The findings revealed:
- More than 8 out of 10 consider that the textile care is useful.
- The vast majority (71%) follow the label’s care instructions.
- Environmental concerns are now central to new textile care habits.
The study was carried out by IPSOS Institute for GINETEX, the International Association for Textile Care Labelling, with a sample of 1,000 people aged 18 to 65 in each of the following countries: France, Germany, the Czech Republic, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Italy, and Spain.
