WEFT webinar on textiles EPR and eco-modulation: watch back and free analysis trial

28/10/2025

UKFT held a webinar last week with WEFT exploring the potential implications for a textiles Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) scheme in the UK. A scheme will introduce new costs and reporting requirements for fashion and textile businesses, and the session outlined what to expect, the likely financial implications and the benefits of early preparation. The webinar is now available to watch on demand for UKFT members.

WEFT shared how future policy could work in practice with a focus on eco-modulation, which links fees to environmental performance, rewarding products that are designed for circularity.

WEFT supports businesses to understand obligations, reduce exposure to EPR fees and improve product circularity. Their analysis to date covers more than 250 million products from six major brands, with over 85% now scored for circularity. This data informs practical routes to minimise environmental impact and cost.
