UKFT’s director of international business Paul Alger will share success stories and inspiration from UK brands that are ‘made here, sold everywhere’ at this year’s Make It British Live in London later this month.

Paul has worked with UK designers and manufacturers in the fashion and textile industry since 1989, offering business advice and support, particularly relating to international trade and tradeshows. At MIB Live!, he will outline various examples of British brands that have entered new markets and developed a thriving export business, including how to avoid common pitfalls along the way.

He will be joined by speakers from UKFT members including Burberry, Peregrine Clothing and MAES London at the event, which takes place at the Business Design Centre in London on 29 and 30 May. There will also be presentations from companies including The All in One Company, Phoebe English, Fashion Enter, M&Co, Galaxius Systems, Future Fashion Factory, English Fine Cottons, Gieves and Hawkes, Behind Bras and HebTroCo.

All the talks are free and the two-day event includes a tradeshow where you can meet UK-made brands and manufacturers. UKFT will be exhibiting at the show to provide visitors with more information on its wide range of business support services, including exports, skills and training, UK manufacturing, care labelling, lobbying and much more.
