UKFT has been made aware of an important update regarding the UK Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) scheme for packaging.

PackUK have confirmed that some businesses who set up a Direct Debit before 24 November may have been charged twice when paying for their pEPR fees. This issue did not affect businesses that paid by bank transfer, credit card, or standing order.

PackUK have now confirmed they have processed refunds for all duplicate payments, and impacted businesses should have received these funds by Friday 5 December.
