The UK brands to watch at Miami Swim Week

The UK’s strength in swimwear and resortwear is on show as part of Miami Swim Week this week, with UK brands debuting their latest collections at Cabana, Capsule Miami, Swim Show Miami, Destination Miami by Coterie and Hammock.
The diverse range of Great British design talent can be seen in collections ranging from Agent Provocateur and Stella McCartnery Swim through to Derek Rose, Boardies and Melissa Odabash.
The Brits in Miami group includes established labels such as Elomi, Orlebar Brown and Heidi Klein alongside a raft of newer brands including Phoebe-Grace and Kalmar.

Belize

Evarae
Evarae has a strong emphasis on day to evening Resortwear, bikini tops can be worn with flowing palazzo pants straight off the beach into the evening. The label responds to a need for modern and beautifully constructed swimwear with a functional core, great emphasis has been given on how each piece fits the body. At the same time design detail has not been lost, the label has an ultra-luxe feel, pushing boundaries by quilting on top of swimwear, using metal work to create interesting lines on the body, using 100% silk mixed with traditional hand embroideries or delicate cut work on top of digital prints.
Kalmar
Kalmar is a London-based resortwear brand, with a focus on ready-to-wear and beauty. Created around the values of wellbeing and self-care, Kalmar ready-to-wear is designed to empower the woman who wears it. These are designs that elevate, but never overwhelm; the Kalmar woman understands that the biggest luxury is to feel confident in herself. Our printed kaftans, dresses, swimwear and sandals capture the bohemian glamour of Marrakech in the 1970s – a nod to Karen’s Moroccan heritage.

Paolita
Paolita, is a British premium swim and resort wear brand, based in London and founded in 2010 by Anna Paola. The brand takes inspiration from the multicultural buzz of London, the laid back lifestyle of Greece where Anna Paola grew up, and the warmth and spirit of South America.
Each of our prints are meticulously hand drawn at our studio over many months and printed onto our fabrics in Como, Italy. The shapes and styles of the swim and resort wear are designed to be flattering, sophisticated and timeless. Items that women can wear and love for years to come.
Miss Mandalay
Miss Mandalay designs products for women who want stylish and great fitting swimwear and lingerie in D-GG cups. Since our launch in 2005, we continue to innovate, develop and design stylish products for a fuller bust.
Cloe Cassandro
Ethical beachwear handmade in Bali, Cloe Cassandro produces timeless designs and the most beautiful silk chiffon fabrics, combined to create simple, classic pieces. Each of the silk-chiffon pieces is crafted, dyed and printed entirely by hand, keeping processes as transparent as possible.

Established in London, Phoebe-Grace is a British designed luxury leisurewear brand. The foundation of the brand is to re-invent luxe leisurewear by creating a connection between comfort and chic sophistication. Retaining the heritage of silk and championing products made in Great Britain is a fundamental goal. Our 16mm silk is printed in Evesham, Worcestershire and sewn into beautiful clothes in Wimbledon, with large order volumes being manufactured with their partners in Europe.

Founded by designer and creative director Lorna Watson, who has worked in the luxury goods industry for the past 25 years, STELAR is the realisation of a vision that Lorna has held for a number of years, to sustain age-old artisanal techniques through contemporary design and keep them relevant to today’s international marketplace. Working directly with artisans in East Bali to create unique, hand-woven and hand-crafted accessories with history and meaning, STELAR is preserving skills that have been passed down from generation to generation whilst providing sustainable livelihoods within the communities that rely upon them.
