Textile pattern opportunity: Collaboration with architecture firm on Oxford Street project

10/02/2025

UKFT has been approached by an architecture firm working on an exciting new retail and office development on London’s Oxford Street. They are currently designing the building’s façade and are keen to explore the integration of a unique textile pattern that reflects the heritage and character of Oxford Street or Central London.

This presents a fantastic opportunity to showcase the interconnection between architecture and textile design. If there are historical or culturally significant patterns linked to Hanover Square, Cavendish Square or Oxford Street, these would be especially desirable.

Additionally, the firm is exploring the development of a 3D terracotta print for the façade and is open to collaborating on its design and production. This could be a great chance for members with expertise in historical research, textile design, and material innovation to contribute to a high-profile project.
