New: Monthly Regulation & Policy Newsletter to stay informed of the regulatory changes shaping our industry
04/02/2026
UKFT has launched a new monthly round-up designed to keep fashion and textile member businesses informed of the regulatory changes shaping the industry. This new format sits alongside UKFT’s already existing Compliance and Regulation business support covering all product areas that our members produce including toys, footwear, homeware, furnishings, furniture, PPE, eyewear, bags, accessories, and more.
Released on 29 January 2026, the first Regulation & Policy Newsletter covers the significant increase in policy and regulatory activity seen in December and January. This edition spans updates on product labelling, chemical restrictions, sustainability legislation, circular economy measures, trade rules and eco-design requirements. It also includes UKFT’s ongoing engagement with policymakers and international partners.
Many of the developments mentioned will have a direct impact on your business. This is why we brought all recent updates into a structured, practical overview exclusively for UKFT members.
