Funding Opportunity for makers: QEST grants support craft skills (Jan 2025)

Applications are now open for Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust (QEST) grants, which support makers and conservators at various career stages,

The grants aim to strengthen the pipeline of talented craft professionals in the UK. They provide funding for education and training, with Scholarships of up to £18,000, Emerging Maker grants of up to £10,000, and up to £12,000 towards an apprentice’s salary. Successful Scholars will also get a place on the Cockpit Studios Professional Development Programme.

Since 1990, QEST has awarded £7 million to almost 900 individuals, thanks to the generous support of its donors. Supporting a broad range of disciplines, including glassblowing, thatching, guitar making, sign writing, and ceramics, these grants offer a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to develop their craft practice. See the Autumn 2024 cohort here.

Deadline: 5pm, Monday 10 February 2025
Applications are open twice a year, the autumn round will take place 9 July to 13 August 2025.
