The Department for Business and Trade (DBT) is seeking views on the potential impacts of UK accession to the Regional Convention on Pan-Euro Mediterranean (PEM) Preferential Rules of Origin.

The deadline for submissions is 15 December 2025.

UKFT will respond on behalf of the industry but urges all businesses with experience in trading goods with PEM members to respond, highlighting practical opportunities as well as any risks that need to be understood. By contributing, you support a clearer picture of how changes to rules of origin could affect supply chains, market access and day-to-day operations.
