PackUK issuing updated Notices of Liability
31/03/2026
PackUK will issue updated Notices of Liability (NoLs) for the 2025-26 assessment year on 26 March 2026. These updated notices include any resubmitted packaging data accepted by regulators and a small reduction in PackUK administrative costs. If a producer’s obligation changes by less than £25, no new notice will be issued. Disposal fees remain the same.
A Notice of Liability is the official statement of what a producer must pay under packaging EPR, based on the packaging they supplied the previous year. It is sent through the Report Packaging Data (RPD) portal, and the primary contact on the account will receive the notification. Producers must pay by the deadlines shown, or PackUK may charge interest or take enforcement action if payments are more than 50 days late.
Producers must also submit their H2 2025 packaging data by 1 April 2026, which will be used to calculate obligations for 2026–27. PackUK expects to issue the first NoLs for next year in early July.
