This year marks the fourth edition of the conference and is set to bring together a global community of natural fibre stakeholders – from growers and herders to researchers and industry leaders – focusing on sustainability, regenerative agriculture, innovation, and policy. NFC aims to offer a unique platform for global pastoralists, grassroots producers, and indigenous communities to elevate their voices in critical industry conversations.
The main conference takes place on 22-23 September, followed by exclusive post-conference mill visits across Edinburgh and the Scottish Borders, offering behind-the-scenes access to local production and heritage sites.
Speakers including industry leaders, scientific experts, policy analysts, and academics, will address the fundamental global influences on the textile fibre industry. They will cover topics such as regenerative agriculture, policy and legislation, innovation and technology, and market trends. Additionally, there will be a dedicated session from the Rangeland Stewardship Council (RSC) and partners that highlights the initiative’s progress and continual journey for sustainable rangeland management and global efforts to achieve land degradation neutrality, running to UNCCD COP17 in 2026.
