M&S Man Director Mitch Hughes joins the UKFT board

Mitch Hughes joins the board of UKFT, the largest network for fashion and textiles in the UK.

Currently Director of M&S Man, Mitch has almost 30 years’ experience across UK fashion retail, including product strategy, commercial delivery, and leadership.
Mitch rejoined M&S in January 2023, having started his career on the M&S Graduate programme back in 1997. Prior to rejoining M&S, Mitch spent two years as Managing Director at Boohoo Group, overseeing the newly acquired Dorothy Perkins, Burton and Wallis brands.
Prior to this, Mitch spent over five years at Arcadia, latterly as Managing Director of Topman/Topshop, where he led the brands through a period of significant transition. Mitch has also held senior roles at Matalan, where he spent ten years moving from buying to Trading Director across Fashion and Home.
Mitch said: “I’ve spent my entire career in fashion retail – from those early days as an M&S grad nearly 30 years ago right through to leading M&S Man today – and I owe the industry a lot. So, naturally I am delighted to be joining the UKFT board and have the opportunity to share my experience and champion the future of our industry.”
