London-based designer Hetal founded VAAI with the view to creating luxury womenswear for the strong & powerful woman whose epitome is to be different. VAAI garments are edgy and unique yet underpinned with sheer elegance, bringing handcrafted artisanal qualities to contemporary design pushing boundaries of modern Indianism.

Hetal’s creativity is experimental in nature and inspired by the environment, her travels and previous career as a scientist. She has studied at Embroidery and Bridal Couture at Central St Martins. Her first collection was showcased at India Fashion Week London and has been featured in Tatler and Vanity fair.

At least a third of the collections is produced using ethical, organic and natural fabrics and within manufacturing units which implement ethical working practices. 10% of all online sales are donated to UNICEF.
