UKFT member Tblaque recently hosted a children’s trade and skills fair in Aberdeen in collaboration with ECM Academy. The event brought together children aged 7 to 16, showcasing their creativity and skills across fashion, textiles and other creative fields.
The event aimed to champion young talent and foster the future of the creative industries by connecting young participants to industry professionals.
Fashion stylist and entrepreneur Joy Kelikume Oziomaaka highlighted the importance of fostering connections between young participants and established designers.
Temitayo Alabi, Director of Tblaque, said: “It gives me great pleasure to see children expressing their creativity at this event in such a fascinating manner. We believe in the importance of fostering young talent to ensure a bright future for the UK fashion and textile industry.”
The event combined creativity and business, allowing young participants to learn about the business side of fashion industry through product sales and service offerings.
