London SMEs: Apply for up to £15,000 ‘ReWear’ grants

13/08/2024

London-based SMEs can apply for up to £15,000 in funding to help Londoners make the most of clothes already in circulation, through ReLondon’s ReWear grants.

To be eligible for a grant, the business must – at its core – directly or indirectly displace the need for making new clothes. Applications can come from any business that meets this brief but the scheme is particularly interested in solutions that partner with fashion brands and retailers to shift current business practices.

The grants aim to boost repair providers, resale marketplaces, rental platforms and other small businesses that reduce the need for new garments in London. Successful applicants will also benefit from association with the Textiles Action Plan, endorsed, among others, by the Mayor of London, London Councils, UKFT, the British Retail Consortium, and the Ellen MacArthur Foundation.

Businesses must also:

  • Be a small or medium sized business (fewer than 250 employees)
  • Have a registered or trading address in London
  • Have a product/service that’s available to Londoners
  • Be a registered entity on Companies House
  • Be able to spend the grant money by February 2025

The deadline to apply is 11am on 16 September 2024.
