Intimate Apparel Samples offers courses for swim and lingerie designers

UKFT member Intimate Apparel Samples is offering a series of short courses for swim, lingerie and athleisure designers and brands, including technical design, creating a tech pack, starting your own brand and production management.
The courses, running until 3 February 2024, will be held by IA Samples founder Maxine, who has designed, developed and manufactured lingerie, swimwear and athleisure for the past 15 years since graduating from the prestigious Contour Degree at DeMontfort University. There are a variety of courses held both online and at IA Samples’ facility in West London.
Maxine and her team boast a high-profile client list including David Koma, Galvan, Martine Rose, Janet Reger, Rouland Mouret and Coco de Mer to name a few. The winner of Season 14, The Apprentice, Sian Gabbidon also worked alongside Maxine during the final episode to create her swimwear collection which led to Sian winning the £250,000 investment.
Alongside this, Maxine has trained many fashion technicians and designers over the years including a top lecturer of a world famous Contour degree.
Having worked with 100’s of start-ups and new designers over the years, Maxine is familiar with a wide range of designs and their aesthetic and technical needs, including the various stitches, panelling, fabrics and finishes required within a garment which is essential to understand as part of the design process. Having been in the invaluable position of working with many brands, Maxine has first hand experience of the importance of having a unique collection that has its own brand identity.
