UKFT Guide to the UK-Turkey Free Trade Agreement
This is a continuity FTA modelled on the pre-existing EU-Turkey FTA to which the UK was a party until 31st December 2020. The new UK-Turkey FTA effectively confers the same free trade elements which previously existed in both directions and does not go further than this. However, the parties have agreed to look at areas for closer cooperation within two years.
The deal is especially important for UK importers of Turkish fashion and textiles.
