Streamlining EU deliveries for UK textile companies via the ‘Huddersfield process’

08/05/2025

Are you a UK textile company or cloth merchant struggling with shipping cut lengths to the EU post Brexit?

UKFT has worked with a Netherlands-based partner to develop the ‘Huddersfield Process,’ a break bulk solution designed specifically to support textile companies and cloth merchants with seamless EU B2B deliveries. This concept, developed in collaboration with our partner Greenway Logistics, addresses key logistical challenges posed by post-Brexit regulations.

Following the success of the past few years year, many of our members have utilised the Huddersfield Process to navigate complexities related to logistics, VAT and EORI requirements, resulting in smoother transactions and enhanced shipping solutions. We are now exploring further opportunities with Greenway Logistics to extend these benefits to more members exporting cut lengths to Europe.

Additionally, Greenway Logistics has established strategic partnerships with VIM, a leading logistics service provider, and Cable Road, specialists in tax advisory, corporate services, and VAT representation. These collaborations aim to offer comprehensive support across the supply chain, ensuring that your export operations remain efficient and compliant.

If you would like to learn more about how the Huddersfield Process could work for your business, or if you are interested in participating in upcoming discussions with Greenway Logistics, please do not hesitate to get in touch via info@ukft.org
