Textiles: Green Transition Ecosystems

Huddersfield University are leading a consortium bid to look at the collection, sorting and processing of post industrial textiles and their use in alternative industries, particularly looking at the use of recycled textiles in the built environment.

The bid is being developed and led by Professor Parik Goswami and the University of Huddersfield in response to the AHRC Transition Ecosystems.

The consortium will bring together partners from across the UK and will encompass a range of disciplines including textile manufacturing and recycling, technical textiles, architecture, design, as well as expertise from across industry. It will draw on Professor Goswami’s involvement in the management of several current research projects, led by the University of Huddersfield.

There will be an online webinar outlining the proposition for the consortium on the 22nd February 2023 at 4pm and would be very delighted if you or your colleagues could spare the time to attend and contribute to the development of the programme.
