If you’re looking to build or expand your skills in traditional textile or fashion crafts, funding of up to £4,000 is now available to help cover the cost of high-quality training.

These bursaries are designed to support people who face financial barriers to developing their hand skills, whether you’re just starting out, building confidence in your early career or looking to diversify your practice.

Eligible activities include:

• one-to-one training with experienced craftspeople
• attending specialist courses
• self-directed learning programmes
• buying essential tools or materials
• travel and accommodation (up to 30% of your total budget)

Some bursaries are ring-fenced for applicants from Black and ethnically diverse backgrounds, British military veterans, and those based in particular parts of the UK. All applicants experiencing financial need with a strong training proposal will be considered.
