UKFT members AW Hainsworth and Fashion Enter have received The Kings Award for Enterprise 2026 in Innovation and Sustainability, respectively.
West Yorkshire-based AW Hainsworth & Sons has been recognised in the Innovation category for its fabric used for wildland firefighter PPE, woven using merino wool for superior moisture-wicking and breathability. ECO-DRY was first launched to market in 2013 and has since become a fabric of choice for Australia’s fire services, worn by over 70% of woodland firefighters in the country.
London-based Fashion Enter has been recognised in the Sustainability category for its ethical manufacturing in the UK, embedding repair, upcycling and accredited training to deliver circular sustainability.
The King’s Awards for Enterprise mark 60 years of celebrating outstanding UK business excellence, with 186 recipients named this year. For 2027, it will include a new category for young founders, aged between 18-30 who are actively leading their businesses and building success with impact.
Congratulations to AW Hainsworth and Fashion Enter.
The deadline for applying for the 2027 awards is 8 September 2026.
