New consumer safety regulations in the EU will have a significant impact on any brand, retailer, importer or distributor placing goods on or making goods available to the EU and Northern Ireland. The new EU Regulation (EU) 2023/988 on General Product Safety (GPSR) comes into effect on 13 December 2024.
