Opportunity for brand founders: Asos & Fashion Minority Report ScaleUP incubator

31/03/2025

The second round of the ScaleUP Incubator is open from Asos and Fashion Minority Report (FMR), designed to support and elevate ethnic minority-led brands.

The deadline for applications is 3 April 2025.

Successful applicants will gain exclusive access to mentoring, networking, business masterclasses, and funding opportunities – culminating in an incredible chance to have their collection sold via Asos.

Isabelle Pennington Edmead collection

Isabelle Pennington Edmead is one of the finalists from the first round of the programme. She said: “For the collection I’ve worked in collaboration with Fabacus – a London-based technology business [that specialises in standardising licensing product data]. It’s all made in the UK with [UKFT member] Fashion Enter, and I’ve worked with Dayrize to calculate and offset the carbon footprint using Ecologi. Each piece also has a Fabacus digital ID, something that came about after I met founder Andrew Xeni while studying on the MBA30 programme with the Black British Initiative/Stephen Lawrence Foundation at SOAS. Beyond the sustainability side, the designs are super personal – every print and pattern is hand-drawn in my studio in the Northwest of England, inspired by my British-Caribbean heritage.”

She added: “My collection will be available to a broader audience than ever before, bringing my vision of stylish, inclusive, and purpose-driven fashion to a global stage. I cannot wait to share my designs with you and continue making strides towards shaping the future of fashion.”
