Selling UK fashion and textiles around the world: We need your insights
21/05/2024
Take the UKFT Export Survey
UK fashion and textile businesses sell all around the world but international trade is becoming more and more complicated, and currently there is virtually no support from the UK Government for our SMEs to export or exhibit at international events.
To better understand and support your international activity, we have launched the UKFT Export Survey. This survey is a vital tool for us to gather comprehensive insights into your exporting activities, challenges and needs. Your participation will directly influence how we tailor our programmes and services to support your global ambitions, as well as inform our requests to government.
Why your input matters
- Shaping targeted support: By sharing details about your export activities, the markets you engage with and the specific challenges you face, you can help us identify the areas where support is most needed. Whether it’s regulatory compliance, logistical hurdles or finding international buyers, your feedback allows us to develop targeted resources and assistance programmes.
- Inspiring the community: Your experiences and successes can serve as powerful inspiration for other members considering international expansion. By highlighting common challenges and successful strategies, we can foster a collaborative environment where knowledge and experience are shared, benefiting everyone.
- Enhancing advocacy efforts: With detailed, real-world data from your responses, we can advocate more effectively for policies and initiatives that benefit exporters like you. Your input strengthens our voice when engaging with policymakers and other stakeholders, ensuring that the needs and concerns of the UK fashion and textile industry are heard.
How to participate
The survey should take no longer than 15 minutes. Your responses are invaluable and will be kept confidential, used solely for the purpose of enhancing our support for your international trade activities.
Deadline for submission
Please submit your responses by 12 June 2024. Your timely participation will ensure that we can promptly analyse the data and begin implementing the insights to benefit our community in advance of the next government.
Please note: UKFT would also like to hear from you if you have been subject to a HMRC customs audit where a fast parcel service appears not to have acted on the correct paperwork that you have supplied them, please contact paul.alger@ukft.org
