Webinar: Understanding Environmental Due Diligence and Tools for Compliance
To go alongside its Sustainability 101 Series, UKFT is hosting a programme of webinars focused on sustainability topics such as standards, Green Claims, Greenwashing and Due Diligence. This is part of UKFT’s goal to simplify the journey towards sustainability and help companies make the right choices by providing unbiased, industry-specific guidance.
The ‘Understanding Environmental Due Diligence and Tools for Compliance’ webinar will be hosted in collaboration with amfori, Fox Williams and Worldly on 23 July 2024. The webinar will cover the following key points:
- Understanding Environmental Due Diligence in Fashion and Textile, Upcoming Legislation and ESG Reporting Requirements
- Exploring Higg Facilities Environmental Module (FEM), BEPI (Business Environmental Performance Initiative) and other amfori and Worldly tools to comply with Environmenta Due Diligence
ABOUT THE SPEAKERS
Bruno Güemes, Product Manager- Environment, amfori
Bruno Güemes leads amfori’s environment programme, working with over 1,000 buying companies who use the BEPI assessment products. He has more than 18 years of experience in international project and team management, always with a sustainable development lens. He has contributed to research on topics such as climate change and agriculture, land management, and water use.
J.R. Siegel, Vice President- Sustainability, Worldly
J.R. Siegel is Vice President, Sustainability at Worldly. He is a sustainability strategist, writer and business leader whose work focuses on helping companies understand, measure and take action on their biggest climate risks and opportunities. J.R. is a graduate of Yale University and The Fletcher School at Tufts University. He writes Bright Spots, a sustainability newsletter, in his free time.
Tristan Edmondson, Network Representative- UK and Ireland, amfori
Tristan Edmondson is amfori’s UK and Ireland Network Representative. For 15 years Tristan has worked on social and environmental issues with factories, farms and vendors in Asia and Europe as a consultant, in-house for the pharmaceutical and apparel industries, and as Head of Responsible Sourcing for Sedex.
Steve Sidkin, Head of ESG Group, Fox Williams
Stephen specialises in advising on the entering into and termination of supply chain agreements, in particular for fashion, tech and life sciences clients. Much of Stephen’s work is international. Stephen is involved in advising many of Fox Williams’ fashion clients. Stephen drove forward the creation of www.fashionlaw.co.uk and now chairs our Fashion Law Group. He was a member of the team which advised Superdry Plc, in connection with its institutional and retail share offerings which resulted in it listing on the London Stock Exchange. He has twice acted as a judge for the Drapers Awards.
