Sustainability 101 webinar: Climate and Energy Regulations & Reporting:What UK businesses need to know
Compliance and corporate sustainability teams from UK fashion and textile companies are invited to join UKFT’s Sustainability 101 Webinar ‘Climate and Energy Regulations and Reporting: What UK businesses need to know” hosted with Envantage.
Taking place on 28 May from 11am to 12pm, the webinar will cover the current regulatory landscapefor sustainability in the fashion and textile industry, focusing on the increasing pressures and opportunities companies are facing to address carbon emissions and climate change. Key topics include the importance of understanding regulations, such as mandatory reporting standards (e.g., Streamliend Energy and Carbon Reporting (SECR), Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) and voluntary initiatives such as the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) . Envantage will also explore the challenges associated with tracing emissions across complex, global supply chains. The session highlights the role of sustainability in shaping business strategies, the factors driving regulatory changes, and the advantages of regulatory compliance – from gaining a competitive edge to enhancing brand reputation.

Naomi is an Environmental Specialist at Envantage, focused on improving Scope 3 data transparency, particularly regarding land emissions. With expertise in land-use change emissions, Naomi is also interested in those related to the fashion and textiles sector.
Thomas Crean
With over 12 years of industry experience, including nine years at Envantage, Thomas specialises in delivering comprehensive carbon management solutions and helping clients advance towards net zero. His expertise spans GHG quantification, mandatory and voluntary reporting schemes including SECR, TCFD and CDP, Net Zero strategy development, and climate risk. He has professional qualifications in GHG Verification and validation (ISO 14064-3) and Sustainability and Climate Risk from the Global Association of Risk Professionals
