European Parliament Delayed Position on EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR)

On 26 November, the European Parliament adopted its negotiating position on the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) in plenary, with the majority of votes in favour. The adopted mandate includes several important proposals

This decision is not legally binding at this stage. UKFT will publish confirmation as soon as this is formally agreed.
Next steps
With both Parliament and Council positions now adopted, trilogue negotiations are expected to begin shortly, with the goal of concluding in December to align with the current EUDR timeline.
