UKFT Update on the New EU Toy Safety Regulation

The European Commission adopted Regulation (EU) 2025/2509 on toy safety, which will replace the Toy Safety Directive (2009/48/EC) on 12 December 2025. This new Regulation introduces uniform rules across all EU Member States, eliminating national variations and strengthening requirements for chemical safety and digital traceability.
UKFT will be running a Children’s Product webinar accompanied by new guides and resources to help members understand the new Regulation and prepare for compliance. This webinar will include Children’s Apparel compliance and requirements to be aware of when selling internationally.
