Global Current Compliance

We help members understand and meet their current regulatory obligations in the countries they sell into worldwide. This includes tailored guidance on product safety, labelling, sustainability, chemical compliance, human rights laws and green claims across key markets and beyond.

Global Regulatory Readiness

We monitor and respond to policy developments globally, keeping members informed of proposed changes and helping you prepare in advance. This includes active engagement with the UK government and EU Commission policymaking via Euratex, ensuring UK businesses are aware of and can influence European legislative developments. We also provide industry feedback to UK and international policymakers to ensure proposed legislation is practical and relevant across jurisdictions.

Worldwide Labelling Compliance

We support members with all aspects of product labelling, including care labels, GINETEX symbols, country-of-origin, packaging requirements and translations. Our guidance reflects global labelling standards, including country-specific requirements and emerging international requirements. This includes tailored support from our Compliance team, webinars, guides, resources and labelling reviews.

Global Product Safety and Performance Testing

We offer advice on meeting safety, performance and chemical standards and testing requirements across a wide range of product categories, from apparel and footwear to PPE and children’s products. Our support spans global regulations, including EU directives, US standards, and other international frameworks. We also work with a range of trusted partners worldwide.

Global Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Schemes

We help members manage their obligations under global EPR schemes for textiles and packaging, including data submission, labelling, and fee structures. This includes EU EPR policy developments, and emerging schemes in other regions. We partner with specialists to reduce the administrative burden and ensure compliance across borders.

International Trade Regulation

We provide guidance on trade agreements, rules of origin (RoOs), tariffs and the movement of goods across borders. Our support helps businesses understand what’s required to benefit from preferential trade arrangements globally, including EU-UK trade dynamics and international FTAs.

Practical, policy-informed resources

The new UKFT Compliance 101 series has been developed in response to member queries, regulatory changes and evolving industry needs. Delivered through accessible formats such as webinars, guides and toolkits, the series offers clear steps for global compliance, supports internal training, and helps members keep pace with policy developments and enforcement deadlines.

New quarterly roundtable

In October 2025 we launched the first of our quarterly roundtable series for representatives from large retailers and brands working across product technical/compliance, sourcing and supply chain management, and external communications with a sustainability focus. These sessions will provide updates on regulatory developments, discussions around current issues and valuable networking opportunities.
