Opportunity: Collaborative energy purchasing for our sector
09/11/2025
UKFT is working with Envantage, a leading low carbon and energy consultancy, to coordinate a new industry energy portfolio scheme designed to help UKFT members secure competitive energy rates and manage risk more effectively.
Envantage, established in 2004 and based in Greater Manchester, supports over 250 clients across the manufacturing and industrial sectors. Managing more than 2 TWh of energy contracts each year and delivering £23 million in annual cost reductions and exemptions, they bring deep expertise and proven results to energy procurement and carbon management.
Through the UKFT x Envantage Industry Energy Portfolio Scheme, members have the opportunity to:
- Buy energy collectively at a sector level, leveraging group purchasing power
- Access flexible solutions, even for smaller users (typically from 500,000 kWh p.a.)
- Reduce risk through a managed purchasing basket strategy, protecting against market volatility
- Benefit from transparent pricing, reduced supplier margins and full market visibility via the Envantage Vision platform
- Receive ongoing insights with market intelligence reports, webinars, and position updates
Envantage’s Trading and Risk Management team has over 40 years of combined experience, providing structured, transparent and accountable energy trading. This collaborative approach allows participants to access wholesale rates without supplier premiums, while maintaining control and visibility over costs.
